Week 12 Fantasy Football Starts/Sits
Starts/Sits Week 12 Fantasy Football
Starts
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence against Houston. Houston has a bad defense and a good offense, perfect for opposing quarterbacks. Lawrence continues his hot streak and is a top 3 fantasy quarterback this week.
Running Back
Derrick Henry against Carolina. King Henry has looked ROUGH the past two weeks. Luckily, he has a get-right game against the worst run defense this week. Henry at least finds the end zone against the Panthers to turn in a decent fantasy performance.
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers against the Los Angeles Chargers. Flowers was limited today in practice with his hip, but I’m assuming he plays. If not, feel free to substitute Odell Beckham Jr. in his place. The Chargers are another horrible defense and strong offense team. The Ravens will be throwing against the Chargers and are without tight end Mark Andrews, meaning there are more targets to go around.
Tight End
Evan Engram against Houston. I didn’t want to double up on the Jaguars, but Engram doesn’t have a touchdown this season and Houston is 31st against tight ends. I have to believe that Engram has a big bounce-back game after two weeks of bad fantasy performances.
Defense/Special Teams
Denver Broncos against Cleveland. The Browns pulled of a shocker and beat the Steelers, but still only put up 13 points in that win. Denver’s defense is talented and has been playing quality football for the past five weeks. That defense against an undrafted rookie quarterback equals big fantasy points.
Sits
Quarterback
Justin Fields against Minnesota. Minnesota’s defense has been quietly playing top ten defense. The Chicago Bears still need an offensive line and more weapons.
Running Back
James Cook against Philadelphia. It’s always a good idea to bench whoever the running back going against the killer Philadelphia run defense.
Wide Receiver
Jaylen Waddle at the New York Jets. Much like running back, it’s always a good idea to sit the receivers facing the extremely talented New York Jets’ pass defense.
Tight End
Sam LaPorta against Green Bay. LaPorta has come back down to earth, don’t be fooled by his big early performances. I think Sam continues to struggle against the Packers.
Defense/Special Teams
Philadelphia Eagles against Buffalo. The Eagles are very strong against the run and weak against the pass. Josh Allen and company should be able to put up a lot of points through the air.
